§ 36.064. APPROPRIATIONS.

In order to provide sufficient funds for carrying on the work of the Recreation and Playground Board the City Council shall annually appropriate from the General Fund of the city those sums as in the judgment of the City Council shall be reasonably necessary for such purpose. All moneys so appropriated shall remain in the General Fund and be disbursed by the Finance Director upon presentation of valid invoices. All purchases shall be approved by the Recreation and Playground Board before disbursements of funds thereof. Except with the approval of the City Council, the Recreation and Playground Board shall not incur for operation, maintenance and improvement any liability or expense exceeding the total funds derived by appropriation from the city.
